This section provides teachers with links to information we have collected on the current environmental, social, and economic state of Nunavut. These resources could have many useful applications in Nunavut’s classrooms. For example, our wildlife, habitat, and land use information may be particularly valuable to those teaching Environmental Studies 35, which focuses on promoting students’ awareness of their unique northern environment.

Teacher’s Resources

We recognize that it takes a great deal of time and effort to integrate this type of detailed information into the classroom. We encourage teachers who incorporate our information into their lesson plans or activities to provide us with these materials so we can share them with other teachers on this site. Our intent for “Teacher’s Corner” is to build a collection of resources that supports Nunavut’s teachers and students.
