Bio:

Judy was born and raised in Cameroon, Africa, and came to Canada from Italy in 2009. He has lived in Nunavut since 2014, first in Rankin Inlet and now Iqaluit.

He joined NPC in August 2015. In addition to a degree in business administration, Judy has earned the designation of Certified Professional Accountant.

Fluent in four languages – English, French, Italian and his native Cameroon dialect – he is skilled in management, analysis, budgeting, financial reporting and software applications.

Judy is interested in community service, worship, investing, and music and entertainment.

Bio:

Originally from Cameroon, Elisabeth moved to Canada in October 2012 and joined the commission’s Iqaluit office in August 2021.

She holds a master’s degree in finance and administration and has more than 17 years of experience in accounting.

Elisabeth speaks four languages - English, French, Italian and Cameroon - and is an expert in accounting principles and customer service. She believes strongly in attention to detail, teamwork and compassion.

Her interests include travel, cooking and baking, community activities, and research and new technology.

Bio:

Born in the province of Québec, Audrey has lived in Iqaluit since 2002 and joined NPC in October 2015.

She earned a college diploma in early childhood education and worked in the field in Quebec and Nunavut for more than 10 years, opening the first and only French daycare in Iqaluit.

She transitioned to human resources and has more than 16 years of experience, achieving a BA in business administration in 2021. She is a designated Chartered Professional in Human Resources and emphasizes creativity, organizational skills and teamwork.

Audrey is interested in exercise, health, personal development, travel and community service.

Bio:

A registered planner with the Canadian Institute of Planners and Alberta Professional Planners Institute, Goump leads a team of dedicated planners to co-ordinate regional land use planning initiatives. 

Born in Togo, Goump studied at the École Africaine des Métiers de l’Architecture et de l’Urbanisme, where he completed a double major in architecture and planning. He later earned a master's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Geneva.

Goump and his family moved to Iqaluit in 2015, where he joined NPC the following year. His work is rooted in respect for traditional knowledge, environmental stewardship and responsible development.

Goump serves on the boards of several community organizations and is passionate about building a more equal and inclusive world.

Bio:

With more than a decade of experience in marine spatial planning, geospatial analysis and conservation policy, Adrian has contributed to projects across the Canadian Arctic, Eastern Canada and the Caribbean. 

He leads the Commission’s GIS program, providing strategic and technical leadership on marine policy issues, including collaborative governance, marine protected areas and stakeholder engagement. He also supports the work of the Nunavut Marine Council, helping to advance integrated ocean management in the territory.

Adrian holds a Master of Marine Management from Dalhousie University and is trained in decision-support tools. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Adrian believes that through collective action, we can make better decisions and rise to the complex challenges facing Nunavut and the Arctic. He is especially passionate about bridging Indigenous knowledge and science to create lasting, meaningful impact for northern communities.

Bio:

Originally from Saint Armand, Quebec, Daniel grew up exploring the wilderness of the bird sanctuary in his backyard and enjoying the stunning sunsets over Missisquoi Bay, Lake Champlain. 

He joined the commission in January 2024 after five years managing land use planning and environmental assessment for the Government of Nunavut. 

He has worked in various environmental management roles, including Public Outreach Officer with a watershed organization. Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Science in conservation and environmental studies and a Diploma of Collegial Studies in environmental and wildlife management. 

He enjoys reading, listening to audiobooks, and watching sci-fi, comedies and reality TV with his partner and cat. He is still drawn to the outdoors and spending time with friends and family around a campfire.

Bio:

Born in Frobisher Bay, Adamie Sakeeta spent part of his early years in Montreal, but has proudly called Iqaluit home for much of his life in Nunavut. 


His professional journey reflects a strong foundation in mineral management, having served as the Mining Recorder at the Mining Recorder’s Office with Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC). In addition, Adamie gained valuable experience in the transportation sector as Customer Service and Ground Operations Manager for Canadian North Airlines, where he oversaw operations throughout Baffin Island.


In early 2025, Adamie joined the Nunavut Planning Commission as a Planner, deepening his commitment to fostering a prosperous future for the territory and promoting conservation efforts. His wealth of experience and dedication make him a vital addition to the Commission’s talented team.


Outside of work, Adamie is a devoted family man with four children and a grandchild. He treasures his time in nature—whether relaxing at his cabin or casting a line in the river. His love of cooking has also made him a familiar face in the community, with appearances on local cooking shows, contributions to small-scale catering projects, and active participation in fundraising events centered around food.
 

Arviat

Bio:

Brian has held various positions since joining NPC in 1996.

He lives in Arviat, where he has served as Deputy Mayor, a Hamlet Council member and a member of the local Education Authority.

Married with six children and seven grandchildren, Brian enjoys hunting, fishing and camping.

Bio:

Annie has been with NPC for more than 24 years, working variously as an interpreter/translator and mapper.

Born and raised in Arviat, she has held several administrative positions in other organizations. 

Annie sews products using traditional skins such as caribou and seal. She enjoys fishing and family gatherings.

Bio:

Lavenia joined the commission in July 2024 as a trainee. 

She previously worked as an interpreter at the Arviat Health Centre and as a research associate for the Aqqiumavvik Society.

She enjoys ice fishing and sewing in her spare time.

Cambridge Bay

Bio:

Born and raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Jonathan moved to Cambridge Bay with his wife in 2008. He has held several positions with the commission.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Alberta Professional Planners Institute. 

Through NPC, he has worked with all of Nunavut's communities, levels of government, regulatory authorities and industries to contribute to the implementation of the Nunavut Agreement.

He enjoys being on the land, hiking, paddling and fishing. Indoors, you can find him listening to music, reading, watching movies and cheering for the Toronto Raptors.

Bio:

Solomon holds a PhD and has been with the commission since 2021.

He worked as a Technical Advisor for more than seven years at the Nunavut Impact Review Board (NIRB), where he contributed to the environmental assessment and review of various projects, including the Mary River Iron Mine.

In addition to his professional roles, Solomon is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Saskatchewan. He has taught as an instructor in the Environmental Technology Program at Nunavut Arctic College in Cambridge Bay.
